Objective
Occupational and environmental safety in constrution
Students understand the harmful effects of dust, moisture, mold, fibers, and gases on human health and comfort during the various stages of construction. They are familiar with the principles of clean construction and know how to avoid hazards that occur during construction, use, and demolition of buildings, and are able to select materials and supplies with cleanliness classifications.
Competence in the construction process
Students also learn about indoor climate condition assessment methods and repair methods for indoor air problems.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
Students know the basics of indoor climate and understand how dust, moisture, mold, fibers, and gases can mess with people's health and comfort during different stages of construction. They are familiar with the principles of clean construction and know how to avoid hazards during construction, use, and demolition, and are able to select materials and supplies with cleanliness classifications. There may be minor gaps in their basic knowledge.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
Students are familiar with indoor climate condition assessment methods and various methods for repairing indoor air problems. Students understand indoor air quality classes and their impact on construction work methods. Students are able to perform standard analyses and draw conclusions based on basic information.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
In addition to the above, the students have a good command of the subject and are able to apply what they have learned.
