1 Electrotechnical and other basic competence

A Bachelor of Engineering: applies mathematical methods and tools to describe field-related phenomena and to solve problems
- understands the laws of physics significant to the field, especially with regard to electromagnetic phenomena
- has knowledge of the components of electromagnetism and basic connections for automation, electrical and mechanical technology
- has command of the basic measurements of electrotechnology
- has command of basic ICT skills.

- knows the methods and tools of hardware and software design in automation
- is competent in dimensioning and selecting devices and components using techno-economic principles
- is able to produce standardized documentation and has an ability to apply 3D modelling in designing
